Albuquerque pool halls

If you want nice Diamonds come to Doc n Eddys.. They have Small Diamonds and 9 Footers.. For Gold Crowns go to Slate Street. I play 3-4 times a week at Doc n Eddys. Also, I do Custom Cue Repair for most players in Albuquerque.

Doc and Eddys

Play the 9 footer that is kind of in the middle of the room. From out of town and showed up there on league night and it was the only one available. Kept rattling long rail shots and finally found out that it is double shimmed. Wound up closing the place down with some local league players. Fun place.

I'm going to be in Albuquerque next week on business, but I will have a couple of nights free to shoot some pool.

Recommendations?

I saw the posts for Doc & Eddy's, and when I went to look up more information (on the Information Super Highway), I discovered that they are Closed.

That's too bad. It sounded like a good place.

Other choices?

Thanks.

It was the best place, until they sold the 9ft. Diamonds. They only have 6ft. Diamonds there now and the name is changed to Krypton Blue. There is Billiard Palace that has 9ft. Diamonds, but they ALL play like crap. Rails are dead and the cloth is Super Slow. You best best bet is going to be Slate Street in Rio Rancho; about 20 minutes outside of Albuquerque. They have 9ft. Gold Crowns there and they play okay. The only issues is that the pockets are huge. Hope this info helps...

I google-mapped Rio Rancho, and then google-earthed it... Wow! It would appear that they have laid out the entire, and very large, city over there... There are pieces filled in, here and there, but a lot of it looks like pre-graded roads and subdivisions... Looks almost like the Nazca visited the area.

Thanks for the room reference. I'll probably try to find it while I'm there.
