I found an andy gilbert I would like to purchase but am not sure if I should. anyone with experience PLEASE respond or PM me. I really like this cue but don't know if it's worth it. it's a 4 point no inlay (ebony points) I think 3-4 veneers per point no inlays in buttsleeve (just like I like my cues) w/ 2 shafts like new for $600. good deal? reasonable price? bad deal? PLEASE let me know asap. thanks,JEFF (by the way, I got the idea of buying one from you guys talking about him) hopefully it will be one I can play with, and love it, and pet it, and call it george. LOL

Andy Gilbert makes a hell of a cue. They are known more for there playability. For 600 I think you have a good deal. I own one of his cues and many players that hit with it loved it just as I do. FYI mine has a 3/8 - 10 FF Ivory joint.

Good Luck,

SS

Sounds a lot like the second one here.

BTW, I had a nice Gilbert, and still have one of his jump breaks, and they are great cues and play great! I sold my fancy Gilbert to buy a Skip Weston but I will probably have Andy make me a cue sometime in the not too distant future.

Andy makes great cues. $600 is very reasonable IMO.

One thing about a lot of Andy's cues is they tend to be loud. In other words, the sound of the hit is more pronounced in his cues than other makers. I'm not saying this is good or bad, just stating my opinion. Gilberts play very well. It would be a good choice for a playing cue.

What happened to the Bludworth?

be one I can play with, and love it, and pet it, and call it george.. Oh then I can ebay it. For as many cues as you peddle you don't seem to much about them. Gilbert has been making good cues for quite a while. Personally a like the 2 Titlist Conversion cues Cueaddicts has. My wife doesn't care for them as much as I do though

Have a good weekend folks.
Anyone going to Pittsburgh next month?

Andy

we have a winner folks!!!!

you are correct my friend! I really like this design and hopefully I'll like it enough to keep it. I do sell alot of my cues, but I think it's because I always think the grass is greener on the other side, but it always turns out that the grass is usually the same color (or not as green). this is a pretty cue and I have my fingers crossed as I just sent money to buy it. it now belongs to me. I'll take my own pics and post it here for all to see. thanks for the input guys. I appreciate it.

I don't understand this guy.

the guy called me and told me he would send me the cue then e-mail me the tracking #. well...no e-mail, no phone call, no contact. I wonder if this guy expected me to just send him my cue trying to scam me? oh well, maybe some other day I'll find one.
