This is one of the BEST tournaments in the South. It is run so well, they could give other pool rooms a lesson in running pool tournaments. Unfortunately no Calcutta but fortunately, NO GREEN FEE of any kind. 100% payback is what it is. Match times are posted and that's a big plus. They most often have someone operating a grill for chicken and burgers as I recall.

The bar tables are on opposite sides of the pool room from the 9 foot tables.

A Great Room Starcade Billiards............

That's it??????

Two people out of the entire forum, going to a $1500 added tournament, that is run perfectly???????

NO GREEN FEE. All prize money paid back. Added money GUARANTEED. WTH?

The players even act more gentlemanly at this event. :D

I agree JoeyA, this is one fine tournament.

So far as the room itself, if I were designing a pool hall this would be it. Aside from the fact that there is no kitchen. I love how the 9ftrs are located on one side of the building with a dividing wall separating the bar, bar tables and jukebox. Really cool atmosphere on the big table side.

Barbara Workman, the last of the three owners remaining carries on the tradition of a quality tournament promoted and directed by Andy & Robin. Barbara always worked in the background in years past managing the company's financials. Andy and Robin were always running the tournament events. It is awesome that Barbara continues to carry on the tradition.

Wow I will finally get to meet Joey A

Lol.

Klink, I may want to borrow your monocle to check the tightness of the racks. :D

Please say hello and remind me about the thread.

Certainly one of the best tournaments of the south. When you walk in you will be in the bar side with bar tables. DO NOT think this is the wrong place. I did that once lol. Walk through the other door for the billiard room. Great place with Great people.
I just listed this on our sponsored tournaments page on our website www.pooltourfinder.com. Wish they had a website that we could have linked to but at least we will get the word out. :D

This place is great ima be there all weekend along with a few other people on here

The pool room sounds great, and I am sure a lot of the LA (Lower Alabama), Ms., and Louisiana players will attend.

For those of you with a history at this event, who are some of the players that have made the finals in the past? Sometimes, knowing this type of thing will encourage new players to drive down. That, and the breakdown of how the prize money will be distributed.

Thanks to all involved for keeping this tournament rolling year after year. That alone says a lot about the place.

Please post results if you can.

Some Georgia players always show up.

I recall Stoney Stone winning it one year.

This event is not hyped very well but for those that go and play in it, it is always enjoyable, even if you don't cash. Well, that's not so much fun but you get the idea. I don't believe that I have ever cashed in this event.

I would like to play better.
I want to play better.
I can play better.
I WILL PLAY BETTER.
