another J&J J/B review

this freaking cue hits a TON... cant get over it..

hits as solid as my friends original sledgehammer, if not better! I must have practice broke 15 times in a row just to see the 3-4 ball drop that happened 90% of the time... It is a little easier to miscue (first phenolic I ever actually owned), but that will become less of a problem the more I use it. i even shot out a few racks just for fun with it..

as a jump cue, its pretty decent.. with the end butt section off, I found it worthless, i just need weight behind my shots.. but as a full cue, obviously it jumps pretty nicely (although I would still just use my regular cue if I ever jump, and that is VERY rare)..

anyways, for $60 shipped brand new, I cant believe ANYONE can get a better breaker... this will save my Schon a lot of wear and is what i look at as cheap insurance on it.. plus, the breaks are better.

Can't wait to get my kaiser and try it out. Unfortunately Troy was out and had to order it so I'll be waiting almost 2 weeks!

Surprised to hear about the jumping, I thought that would be its better function. Also, this is the only real J&J J/B review I have seen, please point me toward any other J&J J/B reviews
 
if you do a search for "J&J jump" a lot of things come up, not all reviews, but lots of people talking one way or another about em..

i almost wanna put a white diamond tip on it to help with deflection... but idk
 
I have one and love it. I used to use it just to break but after learning the right way to jump at the SBE last week I couldn't wait to go home and try it for jumping... It worked great. Been jumping ever since. (well, at least in practice)

When I searched for that before all I got was J&J was great for the money, or jumps/breaks better than expected but nothing real in depth or comparisons except maybe one post. I just need something more to satisfy my hunger to try one instead of sitting here waiting!

I've only heard good things about white diamonds, but with a phenolic doesn't it mean you don't have to hit as hard and can be more accurate?

i got a kaiser with the wood pin off of troy.love it.
 
I had a first generation sledgehammer and all in all, I wasn't too impressed. Everyone else loved, but not me. I used a friends J&J and loved it. Sold my Sledgehammer, bought a J&J for me and one for a good friend. Jumps easy, breaks great and cheap as hell.
