Another Lesson with Stan

I've continued to work on CTE/Pro One and have gotten much better. My groupings are quite tight and pretty consistent but I was still missing more shots than I could accept. So I scheduled time with Stan.

Just thought I'd share a couple of things that I believe will really make a difference for me, perhaps it will for others. When Stan and the other proficient Pro One guys here talk about it being a visual system and moving into CCB with your eyes, take that to heart. There's no question my alignment on the final shot line was being affected by bring the cue in too early. Stan saw this fairly quickly and had me moving in to the shot line and getting down before I even started bringing my cue in. He even had me get my visuals and then move into a shot without a cue in my hand. It was one of those "aha" moments, the light bulb really came on for me.

One other thing that really helped was Stan telling me to move in, focus on CCB and the resulting line then focus on putting my bridge hand in the right place. Or another way to say it is, forget the cue, move into CCB, get the bridge in the right spot and the rest will take care of itself.

Stan also helped me in a couple of other non Pro One related areas that alone were worth the trip down and his very modest fee. If you're passionate about pool, interested in learning the best aiming system in pool and just want to improve your game, find a way to make the trip to KY. For those who may be attending DCC, tie in the trip then. Stan is 60 minutes from the Louisville airport, 90 minutes from the Casino where DCC is held. Without any question, he's one of the top Instructors in the Country and simply a great guy to boot.

Well done Nobcitypool.
I'm looking forward to training with Stan in the future as well.
Cheers

Thank you for sharing. The part about not moving the cue in too quickly helped me greatly.
