Well guys I won this cue brand new from Bigtruck from the raffle. I recieved it yester day at an 18 oz. The cue looks great; really simple but elegant at the same time.
My first impression of the break cue with nothing done to it other then chalk to the tip was not at all what I expected. What it felt like was a soft hit but the rack would break apart just like my old phenolic tip break cue.
Now when I came home, I did adjust a couple of things. First, I added about 7/8 of an ounce, and reshaped the tip to be alot flatter then it originally came.
Now I ventured back to the pool hall tonight and played a ten ball ring game and it is the nuts! I broke every rack, except one that I didnt freeze the cue ball in the middle area of the table. now I know I dont have a 25 - 30 mph break but I have a pretty good power break, side rail.
The break cue still in my opinion breaks soft, since i have tried X breakers, Bk2, Stinger, and alot of other ones and this one breaks the softest out of all of them. Now some might think this is a negative but it really iisnt; the cue delievers the power and accuracy just fine.
I apporve of this message and its worth its money! I hate low deflection shafts but this is a really good product. Hopefully it holds up better then the newer BK2s haha
