another subjective question/LD shafts

I'm sure this has been covered but I can't seem to find all of the info I need. So I bought my first cue about 6 months ago. It's a pro series pechauer with a ss ultraskin so the hit is a fairly soft but solid hit. Ok, then I bought a J/B cue and it of course has a hard tip. Here and there I play with it because I'm starting to like the crisp feel to it. So my question is what are the differences in feel between the LD shafts that are available and different tapers? I love my pechauer but I want to try a shaft that will make the feel a little more crisp. I'm not looking for a super "tink" type hit. Just a little stiffer. Thanks in advance.

If you like the harder tip of the jump / break, just put a harder tip on your Pechauer shaft. No need to switch to a low deflection shaft.

This is true, but I've been wanting to try one anyways. And I would akso like a shaft thinner than mine can be turned down to.
