I bought an old brunswick liberty 8ft table and I read on brunswick web site the info they had but wanted to know if anyone had better info about it. The table is in good playable condition so should I just put it together and play or is it worth a real restoration or a refinish or what would you guys suggest I know it is an entry level table but it's gotta be near 70 yrs old are there a lot of these models still around and is it worth the time?

Any pictures of you're table before it was disassembled to see the condition?

The veneer is a task so if your not up to making a lot of sawdust I'll suggest to buy a can of restore-A-finish by HOWARD at a Home Depot for decent price. Just be sure to do the best you can at matching the color so blending will be fairly easier than a strip or new veneer.
and blend in what you can...
The table need a good look over before and you make any decision on a restore or not.... What are you looking for in a pool table? Are you a competitive/serious player? will the table be a piece of furniture in the living area of the house?

I want the table to play as well as it can but don't want to hurt the value of the table I think a good cleaning and new cloth and cushions it's not like it's an eyesore Id just like to see it last another 70 years
