Antique Brunswick Pfister 9’ (c.1900) – 1.5” Slate, Original – Texas

sdvenable

New member
I’m offering an early Brunswick-Balke-Collender 9’ table, most likely a Pfister model (circa 1898–1908), located in Llano, TX.

Based on construction and leg style (no scrollwork), this appears to be an earlier production example.

Specs / Details:

  • 9’ table
  • 1½” three-piece slate (~2100 lbs total table weight)
  • Original doweled slate system (no screw penetrations in playing surface)
  • Monarch cushions
  • Original leather drop pockets
  • Frame, rails, and hardware appear largely original
Condition:
  • Previously assembled and played
  • Frame is solid and complete
  • One slate section is cracked across the middle (clean break, no missing material); sat properly when assembled and was played this way
  • A few decorative trim pieces (quarter-round at pocket corners) are missing (cosmetic)
  • Currently disassembled for inspection and transport
Notes:

This is not a project in the sense of missing structure — it is a largely original antique table that would benefit from restoration or could be reassembled and played depending on buyer preference. Frame is Brunswick stamped; serial marking visible though factory records are limited.

Price:

$12,500 OBO

Location:

Llano, TX

Will assist with loading and/or coordinate with buyer-arranged transport.

Happy to provide additional photos or details to anyone seriously interested.
