Antique Pool Ball Info. Needed

I have this set of balls that belonged to my grandfather.
I was wondering if anybody knows any info on them.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

They measure 1 7/8" in diameter.
They are speckled and obviously hand painted.
They are also in excellent condition for there age.
