Antique table question

Saw this table on Ebay and thought since it was within an hour from my house it might make a good project.

Was looking for some professional opinions on it's condition and how hard it would be to obtain new pockets and cushions.

Also what kind of wood do you think it is?

Anything special that I should look for if I go see it in person?

How much would you pay for it in it's current condition?

What would be the restoration costs?

A lot of people watching this one. price probaly will go 3-5 thous.

top rail is made of oak cap, body is probaly mahogany. In looking at antiques the most important thing is make sure all the parts are there.Antique tables were normally numbered pretty well. Restoring a antique you can easily spend a couple thousand. Minor woodwork, strip and refinish, new leather for pocket irons, cushion, cloth, assembly, it all adds up! This is a desirable style table for antique tables.

I know you can tell if people are watching an item if you are the seller. Is there a way that anyone can tell? Did I miss somthing?

I was referring to all my colleagues in the antique pool table business watching. my guess was 3-5 thou. sold for 4 thou. good guess huh?
