Any Brunswick Viscount owners out there?

I am looking at purchasing a brunswick viscount and am wondering what the tables are like? Is the base metal or wood? Are there any pros or cons to the table or things you like and dislike? If you have any pictures I would love to see them.

I had a friend who bought a pool hall full of them in the 70's.
He regretted not buying the gold crowns.

I dont suppose there was a particular reason? DId they not hold up to 24 hour usage or what?

Brunswick's second line tables are quite a bit inferior to their top lines.
The Viscount has spindly legs and a very pedestrian-looking top...
..like a few girls i knew...and it has mushy rails and not rugged enough
to stay level.
There are usually a few Brunswick gold crowns available in today's
market.Even if they need work they are worth the time and money.
For a home a Brunswick anniverary would be even nicer.
Avoid Brunswick Viscounts and Centuries...a Medalist is acceptable..
