Any idea what finish Dickie Neighbors used

I'm doing a repair and general cleanup on one of Dickies Cues I knew Dickie for many years however a few things i watched him do and the others i didn't ask

I know my 2005 Andy Gilbert cue also uses an automotive clear coat, and it has yet to show any sign of discoloration.
