I stopped playing pool for a couple of years (about 4 years), I recently visited some pool sites and got the itch to play again and played for a couple of hours yesterday, I noticed that from time to time I had a hard time focusing and had to squint and refocus my eyes. This happens about 1 in 10 shots. I had my eyes checked this morning and found out my left eye (I am a leftie) is a bit weak. He gave me some numbers and I am curious if the glasses will REALLY help my eyes when focusing when playing. Here are the figures he gave. I am just a bit hesitant to pull the trigger on the new glasses as they might not really help for pool.

OD : Plane
OS : + 0.25 DPH
Add +1.50 DSPH

Thanks

If things get fuzzy it isn't worth seeing. There are exercises to help rebuild you eye muscles. It isn't as quick a fix as glasses but, simple things like focusing with one eye on shapes of various sizes.

I only suggest the exercises if you need precision vision. If you just do reading I suggest making the text larger with a magnifying screen or using a larger font on the computer.

A few relatives of mine had to have cataracts removed because of poor health inducing pressure build up in the eyes. Laser surgery exists to fix that but, preventative treatments are a long term solution when compared to the quick fixers.

If you have techniques for dealing with the fuzz then you should know them and use them, maybe you might have some of your own.
