Any Solutions To This Problem?

i have noticed this happening to me on more than one occassion. as a matter of fact, i even said it Out Loud to myself last night, and i was right.

seems like when i first start playing of an evening at times i will screw up some runouts i feel i shouldnt. then, once i finally get that first runout accomplished, things tend to fall in place then. last night i must have screwed up 3-4 good opportunities to runout early, and then i managed to run a rack. after that i ran some more, and things seemed to click ok.

any of you posters experienced this?
if so, any solutions and/or recommendations?

It's just called warming up and finding your groove. Sometimes it involves any one or more of the following: tempo, timing, stroking, alignment, speed control, thinking, touch, visualization, and sight.

thanks fellow fanatics.

i noticed in Peoria that Vivian, just as it was about time for introductions, threw 4 balls out onto the table and ran them as her last few practice strokes. perhaps i'll start to use this "4 ball" routine before breaking and trying to run racks.
