Zan Tips

"control" "sharpness" "elasticity" "durability" "sounds"
The high quality tip which pursued the five maximal elements!

The ZAN tip is a high quality laminated leather tip composed of eight layers of pig and hog leather.
Not only changing the pressure or time of press, but also using special leathers of each hardness made for the tip only, we implemented firm solidity and high elasticity for it's special characteristics.

Not familiar with the brand, but that description sounds like a pretty rough translation of a bunch of buzz words cobbled together. Might be great tips, but the description alone would make me skeptical. Hopefully others will chime in with something more useful! -Josh

ZAN is a good quality tip made in Japan, I've been told it is most popular tip there now (though I'm sceptic about that quote). Nothing special IMO, yet it is good. If it helps, Alex Pagulayan plays with one now (he mentions this in a TAR podcast prior to his Bustamante encounter).

Mezz cue website sells it as well. Must be worth a try....i just bought one and ill write a thorough review after a weeks worth of play

Zan tips are definitely up and coming here and a number of top pros are being sponsored to use them, but Kamui is still the most widely used tip. I tried one for a while and found it played firm and kept its shape well, but had a higher-pitched sound that I didn't really like. I'd say they are a high-quality tip but not sure if they are worth the premium price. A lot of people like them, but I still prefer my good old milk duds.

zen tips... r owned by n ex partner of kamui... this fish was sold to me by Jeff de Luna ... if u buy a mezz cue... exceed series ... it comes with a zen...
tips r excellent... but all depends on each idividuals taste or feel..

nothing really special about these tips, tried a couple months back - really nothing to write about. Lot of hype on the Zan website - but that's about it. Didn't like the hit and the way they chalked up Not going to compare to Ultraskin/Kamui or my favorite underated tip DaVinci.

Lot of cue ball control action and long cut shots very much accurate comparing to G2 and Kamui Black.
Just put on G2 Medium on my Mezz HP2 shaft and replace it back to Hybrid Max Zan tip and Medium Zan tips.

Could you share your opinion about the Hybrid Max? I have a g2 med on my wx900 and im fine with it, but need a new tip for my wx700 on my older Schön. Thanx

Zan's play really good, Oscar Dominguez sells them too i believe, message him on facebook to buy some, I bought some of the Max Hybrids which is a medium hard and I much prefer it over kamui medium blacks I've used for years, there is absolutely no mushrooming with the zan and it plays really well, give oscar a shout, they play great.

Im gonna order 2 of the grip hard. I like em loud and pingy. See if I like them better than good old hard smashed Triangles, cuz I aint found a layered tip I like yet. Last try was a Kamui Med Black. Over spins and feels like a marshmallow.

btw, here is the real website comps.

and $20 aint much for a tip nowdays.

agree....3 of us had Zan tips installed and no sooner all 3 of us had slip cue multiple times. I know, it's the shooter not the tip. I got rid of mine but the other 2 guys still experience slips and continue to use them.

I thought it played great held chalk good kept its shape I used a med wasn’t my fav tip ever but played good
