Anyone bought the aramith 100's?

they're ugly as fk. a close second to those horrid black balls.
I had reserved a limited edition set that comes with the wood box from my Aramith rep/dealer, but I think I might cancel the order. The look of the balls do absolutely nothing for me and in my opinion are not nearly as attractive as the Aramith tournament balls.

If I decide to purchase them, it will be more for the limited edition collectible aspect and the box than it would be for the balls, which I would most likely never use.

Supposedly the balls don't hit the street until early November, I have not heard about anyone getting a set in their hands yet

My supplier has sets on order, Aramith said they'd probably get them to him late August. Still waiting.
They botched the release pretty badly if they can't get them in the hands of their suppliers for months afterwards.

Remember there will be two versions of the 100 balls.

One set that is a limited edition with the oak box and Simonis cloth.

Then you will have just the balls with no bells or whistles which should cost the same as the Tournament Black set

I’ve heard they still haven’t been released yet, and that the limited edition set with the wood box will retail for nearly $1K.

No that is fake news...

The limited edition box is 750'ish (taxes and shipping may vary your cost)

Now filthy flippers will probably charge you 1K for the privilege of owning their highly polished Belgian balls, if you fall for it.

MSRP is close to $1K is what I was told from my Aramith rep. You may be able to find them for less.

I've played every ball A'mith has made since the early 80's and I can't tell them apart playing-wise. i'm sure the newer phenolic blends leave less burn marks but as far as just playing pool you are not going to stop and say "wow, these new super-duper wowza balls sure play better". Please. I do have a ball question: how long does Brunswick have the rights to the Centennial design? Or is that expired? Reason i ask i wish they could use whatever their current top ball is in the Centennial look instead of these funky designs.
