anyone matchup at valley forge?

I heard rumors late Saturday night that Ginky and Chohan were going to be playing a ten-ahead for $15,000 but I don't know if it ever came to fruition. Anyone know?

It was more than a rumor, there was an attempt to get Ginky down there on Friday night, but he couldn't get there until Saturday afternoon, they were suppose to match up but it all fell apart.

Rodney Morris and Chris Bartrum matched up for an ahead set for $5,000.00 at Fusco's new room about a half hour from the convention center, Morris came out winner in that one.

Pat McNally and Ronnie Wiseman were set up to play $1,000.00 a rack one pocket, also to be played at Fusco's but, as we were headed for the parking lot that matchup fell apart as well.

What was quite noticeable this year was how off the action was, some of the biggest bartable gamblers from years past were absent his year. (everyone must be playing poker)

Shannon Daulton was barking that he would play anyone in the room for $25,000.00 but he was also half in the bag at the time. (Consider it a alcohol related incident)

Barbox Action

I witnessed a couple of $1,000 matchups:

Matt Clatterbuck vs. Scooter - 7 ahead with Scooter getting the 6 ball. This match was over in about twenty minutes with Matt getting the cheese.

Shaun Wilkie vs. Adam Smith - 7 ahead - even, ten ball. Adam played well early and got on top. Shaun didn't have much to shoot at and made a couple unforced errors early on. Twice Shaun made ridiculous outs when Adam was on the hill and I left the match with Adam up 2. An hour or so later, Adam walked over and handed his backer the cash saying that Shaun wanted to play again tomorrow. Not sure if that happened.

scooter matched up with someone on 9'ers at the poolhall off 202 also. ended up losing...never seen a guy pop himself in the head so hard while walking back to the chair! stottlemeyer also matched up there, but I'm not sure what happened there. saw ryan was in action too.

I matrched up with Tyson (Tony) from Rochester for two $300 sets and broke even. Other than that I am $20 up from a few side bets in the pit.
