Anyone putting real $$$ on the WPC?

I just watched the Pagalayan vs Frost on pocket match from DCC and on it DiLiberto mentions that in addition to winning 75K for the WPC championship the year he won, Alex put 5K on himself at 12-1 and won. 135k approximately for winning that week.

Anyone else putting real money up or have stories from doing this before?

I heard Kid Delicious is at 150 to 1. My friends are betting 50 to 100 on him.

I couldn't resist! I threw small wagers down on Archer, Chamat, Ortmann, and Immonen.


My best bet was probably Chang Pei-Wei at 80/1 odds, the guy was so close to winning it last year it was hard to pass him up for those odds.

Here in the u.k i'm splitting $40 (20 pounds) between Imran Majid @ 200-1 and Thorsten Hohmann @ 22-1. Not much of a bet but it'll do me.

Actually, In the Billiards Digest artical, Pagulayan, stated that he had to win the WPC because he owed someone 30K from a previous gambling debt. Also, I think someone on this forum covered this topic..
