Says on website - $1 table/game. Are they serious ? Is it the same in the regular matches ? Why the heck would someone pay to play by game at a tournament (except for entry fee) ? Anyone ? Any other knowlege of this confusing piece of the APA puzzle ? Thanks in advance.

Two rooms, one for minis, one for teams.

You pay by the game at $1 a game between two players and they have 100% payout on the entry fees.

Everyone needs to make money, I guess.

they have to pay the venders so much for the tables and its just one way for them to make money without taking out money from the entry fees

It's true. The tables are not opened up in the Mini-Mania room, so all events in that room, including the Masters, requires pay-to-play. I, too, think that's a little cheesy.

During the NTC matches the tables are opened. They do replace the ball access doors after matches though, so in order to practice in the tournament room you have to pay $1 per game just like in the mini-mania room.

Sounds like I've got a better shot with the casinos! Seriously, thanks for the information.

The only time these tables are open for practice is like 7am-8am during tournament days. No one can play on the tables when the tournament is going on from what I remember.

At the BCA's it was $10 to enter a mini (8 players). You pay $1 a game alternate break. Breaker pays race to 3. The payout was $50 for 1st and $20 for second with the house taking another $10. Be thankful yours are 100% payouts.

16p
1 160
2 80
3-4 40

8p
1 100
2 60

Not bad payouts, pretty fair for the 3-4 finishers.
