archery shaft as billiard shaft core

I understand that McDermott uses, as a core in their new shafts, some composite materials from Easton. Since Easton is a big archery arrow manufacturer, any thoughts about using arrow shafts (of varying specs) as cores in billiard shafts. It may be difficult drilling such long holes in the shafts to accept the arrow shaft but could easily do the predator thing around the arrow. Straight as an arrow, right?
