Are Ed Young cues like Southwest cues?

I'm looking at purchasing an Ed Young cue. I know Kersenbrock works in his shop. Will Kersenbrock have any influence on the cue? Will the cue play similar to a Southwest?

Ed's cues play good but good luck getting him to build you one. I sent him $500 deposit for a cue in 2005 ( have cancelled check to prove it) and have heard nothing from him since even after numerous e-mails sent. Wish I had his shop address or phone number. Live and learn I guess.
