I have a plain jane Ariel Carmeli, that I'm looking to sell/trade.
Made in approximately 2000.
Ebony forearm and buttsleeve. One inch ivory joint, one inch ivory buttcap. No trim rings. Black and white speck linen wrap. Cue was just refinished by Ariel, so the finish is flawless. Uni-Loc joint, but this is from 2000 when uni-loc standards were much higher. I have never had a problem with this joint that I've heard others describe.
4 shafts. 2 with ivory ferrules (one with lots of play, one with a little play), both with med moori tips approx. 12.75 mm. 2 with Aegis II ferrules, (both brand new) with triangle tips, both approx 13.25 mm, so if you want a different shaft size taper, there is plenty of room for your cuesmith to work.
One thing you can't see, is this thing hits a ton. If you like a stiff to very stiff hit (i.e. more like a schon/schuler/hercek) then you'll love the way this cue plays.
The cue is unsigned, but if need be, I can supply a letter of authenticity from Ariel stating when and where he made it.
Any reasonable offer will be considered. To entice you even more, if you're offering the right kind of $, I may even be cajoled into throwing a used sledgehammer into the mix (basic model, birdseye forearm with linen wrap, used, approx 80-90% condition)
I am also a very fair man, so if we make the transaction, and you feel unsatisfied, I will do everything in my power to make it right.
Thanks in advance for taking a look at my cue!
