Can't wait for the 2nd stop to come to Tucson!

Thanks for all the work you and Jimmy are putting into this tour! And to all of the sponsors who are adding so much money and prizes to each event!

Ken

We actually are doing some work on the site! Really! Even as I type! Should have the schedule and sponsors page up this weekend, at the very least.

See you all in Tucson.

For those planning on playing in this event (Tour Stop #2 in Tucson, Arizona), the dress code will be enforced. The dress code will be a collared shirt and no flip flop sandals. This was mentioned at the first tour stop and everyone was advised that it would be enforced after the first stop. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Jimmy or I. See you all in a couple of weeks!

Dennis

I'd recommend making people wear pants or shorts too!

Great rule for the prestige of the tour!

Hope you are able to stand by your imposed dress code of collared shirts are required and no flip flop sandals allowed.

Think that is a good thing for pool. Personally I see zero problem with it.

We have not received any negative feedback regarding the dress code. At the opening player's meeting this season, everyone seemed to be in support of it as well.

We discussed this topic with each sponsor, prior to the tour kickoff tournament. Each was supportive and felt it was a great decision to enforce a dress code.

Hopefully, any new members would agree with everyone else. We would like to have the tour be as professional as possible. This is one area of many that needed some attention and improvement.

Are you going to have Polo Shirts for sale, incase you get some people that didn't attend the 1st event and haven't heard about the dress code?

After seeing those hats last night, I think that logo would look really great on some polo's as well.

A dress code also might attract some additional sponsors! :D

Dennis and Bull were looking at some new hats they designed with the Tour's Logo on them. It's the same logo that is Prince's Avatar above. They looked pretty slick.

I'm not sure if they are for sale or not, Prince?

I spoke to Chuck Bobbit last night, and unfortunately, his embroidery machine just went down and is in the shop for maintenance. Ron Merseal was able to connect me with another reliable embroidery business last night. Bull will be contacting them today, however, I don't know if they will be able to have enough shirts done by next weekend.

In any event, Bob Jackson, owner of Main Street Billiards, indicated he would have some additional collared shirts available for those who are unaware of the enforced dress code. Unfortunately, those will not have logos.

We are working on getting some polos with logos for players/spectators to purchase in the future.

Well I know where they could get them done up in Surprise.:)

I should be getting the quote today on the cost of shirts/hats from the new embroidery business. As soon as I do, i will post the cost, as well as a photo if anyone is interested in purchasing one.

The one's you saw last night were slightly altered and did not have the complete logo. I agree, they did look pretty nice. Jeff Pranke, one of tour sponsors did an excellent job of designing the logo. If you are not familiar with him, he has a background in designing corporate logos. As of now, as Ron Merseal stated, "there are only three in the world" :)

I'll keep you posted.

Of course I will abide by the rules....But I still think mock collars should be allowed so we can keep up with the current age.....;)

Here is my suggestion...(Clipped from other offiicial Dress Code Rules)

Shirts without collars are not permitted except for the newly accepted mock collar golf shirts. Mock collar must be 1 inch up on the neck

Hint Hint...I might even buy one that has a Desert Classic Logo on the back or side of the collar...;)

Was this clipped from an air hockey or ping pong tournament...:) J.K. Personally, i like the look of those mock collars too.

Are you going to be in Tucson? If so, remind me to bring it up at the player's meeting. I thought we had discussed some of the other appropriate dress shirts (v necks etc...). If you would, just bring a collared shirt to be safe.

Obviously, our main concern is to discourage t-shirts, tank tops, half shirts, fish nets (if anyone was thinking these last two were stylish). :)

I think it is a good rule. I also find in fascinating that one would have to discourage people from wearing half shirts and fish nets.

Keep up the good work Dennis.
