My arthritis makes a closed bridge difficult to form and painful. Has anyone here had arthritis change their bridge or other aspect of their game?

I've had my neck fused back in 1990 then again in 1995 it's quite a challenge to shoot pool when you're neck doesn't move very much .
As for arthritis I'm developing a case of trigger finger in both hands so far it's not been adversely effecting my bridge hand yet .

The good news is you can do everything with an open bridge you can do with a closed one. Shaft jumps out of your bridge sometimes? Learn to ignore it.

I learned to put a little pressure on the stick. If the stroking hand is too far forward the tip can lift. Hold it further back for better weight distribution.

I’m not far behind you. The arthritis is starting to kick in, luckily the open bridge is okay with me…as a matter of fact I almost like an open bridge better. Neck problems to, it sucks getting old!
