Athena bumper removal

I just looked at them online and they're funky. I would have assumed there's just a screw that locks into the thread on the insert and then throighh to the weight bolt. The site I went to said to contact manning cues.
It is just a press fit, going by the website pics, but using 2 putty knives it won't budge. The rubber lifts, but if I force too much it looks like the rubber will tear off of the insert. It looks made to attach an extension I talked to Heath at Manning, but he wasn't familiar with these. I tried to thread a bolt, metric and SAE and wiggle it, but nothing threads in.

Deleted..............Have seen some similar looking bumper setups that have a allen socket at the bottom of the screw to remove the bumper but the Athena looks to be different.

So, I finally got it out...it is a REALLY tight fit pressed in bumper. It took some WD-40 sprayed under the edge and an extractor screwed into the insert while held in a vise to dislodge it. What a PITA. I will turn down the next one...definitely not worth the trouble, plus it ruined the threads in the insert.

I wonder why they did it like that?
My guess is to be able to attach an extension to the bumper and it not pull out, but what a PITA to change the weight bolt. Now I am having trouble getting it back in...smh.
