Austin pool halls

Skinny Bobs in North Austin is the best. 14 GCIII's in very good shape, plus a Verhoeven 3C table. All the action is here if that's what your looking for.

Clicks on Oltorf - my home - a bunch of Brunswick Medalist 8 footers + 3 x GC 9 footers. Good friendly crowd. Occasional action.

There are a couple more decent halls but I would stick with those two.

Skinnys is the ONLY hall that I would recommend to an out of towner that can play. If you want loose gandy 8 footers slick willies is your place. Slow crappy tightish 8 foot olhausens and give Fast eddies a try. I don't even know how to describe the warehouse or the grand but austin needs another decent hall. My .02.

Eric's billiards

Whatever happened to Erics billiards (I vaguely remember ) on Airport Blvd?
Played there years ago...

That is now called the Grand. Pretty run down these days. They have some leagues and smaller tournaments but now everybody plays at Skinny Bob's which used to be G Cue. Apparently pool halls in the area like to change their names.
