ABOUT
This is the Australian Open 9-Ball Title event held by the Australian Pool Players Association (APPA).
THIS IS AN OPEN EVENT REGARDLESS OF CITZENSHIP STATUS ALL ARE WELCOME TO PARTICIPATE AND PLAY
Men's and Women's separate events.
Competitors must be a financial member of the APPA to enter.

FORMAT - MENS
2 Day Event
9-Ball - WPA Rules. Winner Breaks. 3 Point rule applies.
Day 1. Groups stage - Double Elimination.
Groups of 8 players per group. Race to 5. Capped at 64 men.
Session Times 9:30am, 1:00pm
2 from winners and 2 from loser side from each group proceed to day 2.
Day 2. Single Elimination. 32 Players.
FORMAT - WOMENS
2 Day Event
9-Ball - WPA Rules. Winner Breaks. 3 Point rule does NOT apply.
Day 1. Groups stage - Double Elimination.
Groups of 8 players per group. Race to 4. Capped at 16 Women.
Session Times 9:30am, 1:00pm
2 from winners and 2 from loser side from each group proceed to day 2.
Day 2. Single Elimination. 8 players.

PARKING ADVICE
Saturday: Follow signs for emerald square level b3. That gets 1.5hrs free. Then validate ticket in machine at CityHeroes to increase to 4 hours free.
Sunday: Parking is free

Entries Close Monday 21st March 11:59pm
Late Entries will incur additional 20% fee and absolutely no entries after Thurs 24th.
Draw and Payouts will be published on Friday 25th March.
ENTRY FEES are based on your FargoRate for both Men's and Women's events.

DRESS CODE:
Day 1. Qualifier Stage - Smart Casual. No offensive attire.
Day 2. Smart polo’s, dark trousers or dark jeans, and smart trainers / shoes

I got through Day 1, took out one of the better players (Travis Crawley).
Onto Day 2 where the real fun begins.
