I was thinking about the whole continent pool wars (sorry Jay LOL), I'm guessing technically Australia would be playing in the European side, but then I could not think of a single Australian pro pool player.

Are there any that competed in events like the US Open, China open, etc..?

A couple years back , there was this young pro player from Australia Jerome Geogardis who played in the World Pool Masters but he lost to Svb in the 1st round i think.

Mad Max Eberle :sorry:

From what I can tell from their streams, they mostly play English 8 ball. There are also some good snooker players and english billiards players as well.

A joke. I thought it would be a good reply to start a Monday.

That explains my confusion. I thought maybe he was born there but grew up in the US, and I had new incite into his nick-name, but I guess it's because it is a bit crazy LOL

Why would an Aussie play for Europe?

Surprisingly that for a country that produced few cue sports stars, they produced probably greatest ever cue sports player, Walter Lindrum

LOL He must thinking of Eurovison Song Contest which recently for no rhyme or reason invited Australia to take part. And Australia almost won this year finishing runner up

Where else would you slot them into the Mosconi Cup? Or just exclude them like Asia? I know they are their own continent, but in the realm of influence they are a lot more European than US.

I actually had a debate in my head about this, should they be on their own or with Europe, and I thought they are fairly European like.
