This popped up as a recommended video to me, and it's damn amazing what this guy built.


At the tail end of the video, he was talking about next steps for his system. He wants to determine algorithm for taking the next best shot at the table. Pretty fascinating to think about how to devise an algorithm for that.
 

Automatic pool cue youtube video

This is probably my favorite youtube channel. The guy is wicked smart, and comes up with all kinds of neat stuff. A robot that cuts hair, a moving basketball hoop so you can't miss, and now an automatic pool cue. I'm watching it now myself for the first time, it was just released today. Enjoy!
