Has anyone yet determined just what AVD design is?? What part of the cue does it pertain to? Joint? Shaft? Tip? Ferrule?
Here is the advertising claim:

This cue contains the patented Anti-Vibration-Design (AVD), which makes the hit very solid, almost vibration free and noise-free. Because of the new cue-making technology, this cue hits much better than other cues found on the market today. Our customers said that this cue hits better than Schon, Joss, Mcdermott, Viking, Meucci, Cuetec, Lucasi.. cues.

This is strange the top 7 names in the production cue business that it hits better then all hit quite different.

A year or two ago, I bought a bunch of these cues, maybe 10 or 12. By watching eBay at that time, I was able to get them for something less than $30 a cue. I resold them for $35-$50. There was nothing I could detect that was special in any way about them. The guy selling them, Jim Shao I think his name was, was a real stand-up guy and once sent me a full refund for a cue where the ferrule had cracked. Some guy I had sold one to for $35 told me about two weeks ago that he had resold it for $125! Amazing! Anyway, in my humble opinion, there is no Anti-Vibration Device. I think it is just advertising hype. They are really cheap cues, but worth the $30 apiece I paid for them. Hope this helps.

Yeah, there are two different guys that claim AVD and they sell different cues. I was just wondering where the term came from. I was also figuring it was add hype. Shoot the MSRP they claim is the worst ad hype. I guess I'm an idealist for exspecting truth in advertising. OH WELL!!
