Away from the game, so is performance.

Play in these conditions?

OK, with summer here I've neglected to put enough time into my game. My speed is off, rolling to short or too long; bumping balls that were never meant to be bumped, etc.

I found this out in the last two tournaments I have entered. Let me back up a few months and give you a run down. This particular tournament only gets from 15 to 30 players, but it is a tough field. Maybe 5 to 7 players have no chance of winning but those players do have a chance of finishing in the money. Former road players and area money player dot the landscape trying to make some money games on the side.

I finished first twice and second once in three consecutive tries. I even started playing 14.1 with our own Joe Koontz in three trips to his house but life has intervened.

I have played twice now in 4 weeks both in the above mentioned tournament. Two and out; one win and out. I want to play so badly but life has thrown my time to work and family. A manpower shortage at work has me picking up more hours and wifes health problems has me doing plenty to pick up the slack at home. Man oh man do I miss playing!!!

I can't wait for league to start, and July/August is usually a tournament tear time for me.

I want to be ready for league and I usually reach my goal of finishing in the top five. Tournament play really fine tunes everything for me as practice is at most once a week for 30-45 minutes (not enough IMO.)

This is more of a rant as I need to call up Joe and resume our 14.1 and get back into tournament play as well. I know time on the table is the cure. I also know there have been other threads before alluding to the same problem I'm having. Link me, or give me a quick formula you have tried that works to get the game back.

Signed, "Used to winning money not losing it."
