Awesome experience with OB cues

I wanted to give my feedback about OB cues. I know they experienced some turmoil a few years ago and there are some posts about it on here. Well, I wanted a very specific cue custom built, and they did it for me and I got exactly what I wanted. They stopped production a few years ago to work on their quality control, and brought on Amy and jeremy jones to manage the business. Amy is the one I worked with, and her service was top notch. She was friendly, attentive, and was very knowledgable. I think mark griffin, the owner of griffs billiards in vegas, is also heavily involved in OB cues now, serving as CEO. Here is the cue. I wanted a 54" cue with the wrap all the way to the butt, with a 4" extension to enable full size as well.

I'm an OB fan myself. Love my Ebony OB. I'll have it forever.
Some of the posts on here would probably steer some people away from them. They have since worked hard on their company to better themselves, and it shows. The finish on this cue is better than my pechauer.

I really do like the feel of it. Maybe it's a combination of the Straight Line Core, and the dense Ebony wood, but it has wonderful feedback without being clunky.

it plays great! I used it for the first time in league last night. Won all my games. There was no transition period or anything like that. It is 19 oz when 58" with the extension, and 16oz without it, at 54". I tried it both ways and dont know which way i like better. The 54", lighter configuration feels like it has more finesse and delicate touch for safeties, but i also pulled off a 7 foot draw shot on dirty bar cloth with it setup as 54" 16oz. I have weight bolts as well, so i can adjust anyway i want. Awesome

Had the exact same experience with Royce/OB at the BCA Nationals ... my well used OB-1 shaft had split (at a glue joint). They just snapped it in half and gave me a brand new one from their booth.

I've been playing with OB (player and break) for about 15 years now. Glad I made the switch all those years ago.

looks like i made a good choice. From what I can see, Amy and jeremy at OB seem to be carrying on that customer service legacy.
