Maybe we could all get together and reserve the entile top floor of the hotel and make it one big party. The top floor has all specialty themed rooms. Rooms like the Titanic suite (which is haunted) and the Gilligans Island suite. None of the rooms on the top have any windows.

I have to ask,,, how do you know it's haunted,,,,,lol

I was trying to plan a day to go over there with my APA pool team on either Saturday or Sunday.

What day would be best, in everyones opinion?

That's right! It was Chumley's and not the Grotto. Thanks JAM!

You seem to have mistaken me for with Ms. Malloy, I'll have to introduce myself next time I see you.

Go on Saturday. By the time Sun rolls around it's thinned out and vendors are packing up earlier than normal and going home. You defintely want to go on Sat if you want to see it in all it's glory. :)

The Hotel put Matt and myself in the room because they ran out of the regular double rooms that we had reserved. This room (the Titanic suite) was themed in decorations just like you would have seen on the real Titanic. The room is on the very top floor which is round. It does not have any windows and is shaped like a pie slice (wedge). It was a nice room and the hotel comped our stay because of the inconvenience. The inconvenience was the fact that Matt and I had to share a King sized bed.

At about 1pm (normal sleeping time for me at VF) we were sound asleep in the room, it was pitch black because there are no windows and my eyes were closed. All of a sudden both of us were startled by a noise. We immediately jumped and both of us reached for or cell phones (our cell phones make great flashlights in the dark). When we sprang to our feet we immediately started looking around the room for someone then we turned on the lights and continued our search.

Matt and I were both spooked. We both had the exact same reaction at the exact same time when we awoke and reached for our phones which is pretty weird in itself. When we started talking about what woke us up we described the exact same thing.

This is how we described it. I still get chills everytime I think about it.
I was woken by the sound of someone walking across our room then sitting on the foot of our bed and a very cold burst of air that was like zub-zero temperature. Matt described the exact same thing. When we walked through the room we felt the differences in temperature in a particular area right at the foot of our bed and the sheets looked pushed down as if some invisible force was putting pressure on it.

I swear to you this is the honest truth. Matt and I are still really freaked when we talk about it.

The funny thing was that this happened on our 1st night there and after that we never slept while in that room for the rest of the weekend. In fact, Matt nor I would go back into the room unless somebody was there with us.

If you are looking for something weird, I suggest you rent that room on your next stay in the VF area.

I stayed in the spaceship room last yr!

1st pic is the door to the room (the outside of the doors tell you the rooms theme)

2nd pic is looking into the room from the hallway.... tough to see because of all the shiny aluminum

3rd pic is of the left wall of the room. (notice the curvature)

4th pic is facing the end wall. The bed is between the "control panel" that has the electric thingys and the foot of the bed is a big screen tv against the wall that you can hardly see because it's too dark.
