OK, well tonight in my APA 8ball league, I went up in the second match, and had to play a newbie who i knew. And she can play some decent 9ball on a 7ft. So I came out gunning.

Well I barely win the lag, and break and bam the table is wide open, and i run out ! KEWL! B N R # 6 for me :)

Next break, BAM i make a solid and strip but my best shot is at a strip and i run out, even after almost messing up the run out, but i still get out and am up breaking again, when one of the big fish in the league comes over as the girl is racking and askes if i am feeling ok lol. And I give him the IDK this is a first for me.

Well i win my match 5-0 in 11 inning, the next game went 5 innings after a couple balls ended up locked up, and the 4th game was 1 inning which was almost another BNR, and then another 5 inning game too.

Now most of the time when ever i get a BNR in 8ball, the next time i break i either have no shot or dont make a ball lol.

I know that even most of the guys in our area who play 8ball rarely get back to back break n runs in 8ball, even the guys who are what i call SUPER 7's.

So just out of curiousity how often do guys in the APA get back to back break n runs in 8ball honestly????

Last Session

I posted two 2-packs in 8-ball, and one match with a B&R in game 1 and a B&R in game 5. I ended up winning MVP for the session. My best ever is a 3-pack in 8-ball.

Congrats to you on your two pack. In the years I've been playing, I've strung 8-ball racks together only 2-5 times a year! Feels good though when you do it. :D

Good job!!

I usually BNR a few times a session,but I honestly don't think I have back to back.
On a similar note:

We had a three on the team for short while who was average at best.

Up against a 5 he won the lag.
Then B8 in the side for win #1.
B8 in the corner for win #2.lol

Except for the lag the 5 never made it to the table.Fastest match I'll ever see for sure.

I had 3 table runs in our league last week, not B-N-R's though. Twice I broke wide open tables w/o making anything :( , but my opponent only was able to make a couple balls each time and when I got to the table I never missed a shot. So other than my 2 breaks where I didn't pocket any balls, I never missed a shot in 3 games, and each game I still had all 7 of my balls and the 8-ball, so I was really happy to shoot 24 times w/o missing, and most importantly, having great cue ball control and playing great positions from shot to shot and getting a couple of nicely played break-outs while most of my opponents balls were still on the table.

My best B-N-R record is 5 in a row, accomplished twice in the last 20 years, but one of those was combined thru 2 different matches I played. :)

My personal best is 8 in a row. The guy I was playing was a friend of mine and he went to another table and played with another guy during this. He would come back and rack after I ran out and then when I made a ball on the break he would go back to the other table...it was pretty funny.

7 games in 2 innings

When I was foolish enough to donate to the APA a few years ago, I had a match where I won all 7 games in 2 innings. Would have been one inning if I wouldn't have scratched in the third game!

I nearly did that last week (also APA). Had one B&R, and missed the next B&R due to missing a cross-corner bank on the eight (and nearly sent it across into the OTHER corner - whew!). And was gunning for a third opportunity, but got impatient when I saw the easy run-out and goofed up a stupid-easy soft combo for the set-up. :(

Last time I played league, one night my team won every single rack except one (mine), and that one I ran out and made the eight but went around the table and scratched.

I think my team may have missed only two balls all night!!
