Back to Pyro vs. V10?

I like the green stuff. Use both. My hands are clean. I think it's a wash price wise. I don't need the $10 a can chemical shit every time I vacuum. Hardly ever miscue unless the windshield elbow wiper appears. That's on me.
I use V10, no blue stain on my wood shaft, or on my green cloth. I am old so this cube of V10 might outlast me.

I'm sure the Triangle I used to use on my home table was messier, but due to the tournament blue colour I only saw it if I happened to wipe down the table with a white cloth. I have found that the V10 for all the hype does build up in areas. Mainly the ledge of the pocket slate and the top of the facings.

I left the above pic purposely large so you can easily see the V10 ghosting lines. I just recently lengthened the rails without changing the cloth and found this ghosting on each pocket facing. Normally you would write this off to regular cloth wear of the balls wearing a track during impact. I can say with full confidence that this table has not seen that level of play since I installed the cloth. It's also hard to tell in the pic but the lines are very clearly the V10 green in colour.

I'll add that I do not make a habit of cleaning the table. However I haven't gone through even half a piece of V10 since I started using it. About a year of play....
The stuff lasts forever. Pyro is holding up nicely for me I got both and choose pyro. It's easier to clean off my cloth. Both are great chalks.

Went back to my pyro piece today, was having spin issues with my v10. This all could be due to needing to clean my balls, table, or even the type of tip I am playing with. Ive noticed back in the day when using predator chalk that I liked it on a specific tip but hated it on others, same with masters. Funny coming back to one of my old threads years later hah, either way these chalks are a step over all others, at least as far are cleanness goes. I shoot every day and both my pyro and v10 are still my original pieces so they hold up the time trial for sure, only thing I have to say Is I still find myself whipping off the actual piece of chalk from time to time with a paper towel until the " Cake is gone" This is when it grips best from the tip to the cue ball in my experience. Then again I think a lot more into things than I should, find myself saying " $hit man just shoot and play the damn game! " :ROFLMAO: Don't even get me started on tips...

I got two pieces of blue V10. I like the fact that my hands are cleaner at the end of a session and so are the balls and less kicks. I play at the pool hall so don’t care about the table…
I find it harder to apply but it stays well on the tip.
I don’t like the round shape, next I’ll get a Pagulayan chalk that seems to be just like the V10 but in a cube shape. But it feels that the two pieces of the V10 will last for years at the rate that I play (about 8 hours a week)

It will cake up in the summer. Any other time it takes a bit effort to apply and I hate it. I was using it sparingly whenever I feel like it but I've been miscuing quite a bit lately so I went back to regular use of chalking every two shots or every shot.

8 hours per week is quite often. I'm about 8 hours a week because weekends I will do 2-3 hours of play.

I chalk on every shot.
I play twice a week, about 3-4 a session.
I find the need to pick the tip every session to hold the chalk.
