While there have been billiards short films since 1912 (if not earlier), I believe the 1935 movie "Bad Boy," which is available on DVD from Loving the Classics, may be the first full-length billiards movie. Let me know if you know of earlier ones.

Yes, it's quaint and dated, but it's got some wonderful trick shot sequences...and they're all made by the lead actor, James Dunn.
