Does everything look original? I am far far far from knowing :o) genuine early George Balabushka...

Could be a real Bushka? The weight bolt looks correct but the butt plate looks like a Palmer and/or a Burton Spain made to look like a Bushka?

This one was on sale on ebay on April 9th. I will let you be your own judge, Balabushka, Balabushka, Palmer-Burton-Spain 60s Custom, Balabushka, and 77-79 Palmer butt plate.

Does anyone have any better luck with telling if this is a genuine Bushka?

Please note the 4th picture "old Balabushka_01" is something, I downloaded off ebay in November 2005. They look to be the same picture as in the add? This could be a reposting of the November add?

Bugs.

Well, I think if Pete Tascarella authenticated it as a Balabushka, it probably is... unless you know of someone with more authority than Pete when it comes to Balabushka cues :)

Btw the Balabushka 01 is clearly has different forearm points, with a different color as well as a different wrap.

I stand corrected, Pete Tascarella would know best. But my eyes may need to be corrected also, since the picture look to be the same to me? From the posting on ebay from November 2005.

Oops sorry, my mistake there, I was looking at the first attachment picture "8q_Balabushka_01.jpg".

You're right on the similarities, pretty much undeniable.

and you can see the unmistakable chalk lines on the shafts in both pics..
where it gets really dark then realy light and then dark again and that same super white ferrule..

If Tascarella Authenticates Bushka WHY didn't he tell them their other auction is from the 1970 era, not 1940, for a PALMER. That 30 year gap alone, scares the hell out of me on the Bushka deal. I want to see the letter from Pete. I can't see how anyone with that dollar cue could be so dumb on another cue. Just MHO

Authentic

The cue is authentic. It was my cue and I sold it privately after putting it on Ebay, only to have two non-payers in a row.

Whomever is selling it now, simply used my wording and pictures. I will say that I have nothing to do with the current auction or the cue. But. I am the one that had it authenticated by Mr. Tascarella providing the cue the winner receives is the cue in the pictures.

I don't care to field questions about the cue though, because it no longer belongs to me. I just wanted to clear my name because the seller on Ebay chose to use my same exact wording and pictures to list it.

I repeat. I have nothing what-so-ever to do with this cue or auction.

Thanks,

Gene
