Hello,
I would like to know if normaly a steel jointed cue makes a cue more forward weighted than a 3x8/10 wood to wood from the same cuemaker?

Thanks,
Misel

My cue has the 3/8X10 wood to wood joint. I recently compared it to an almost identical cue from the same maker, with a steel joint. The steel jointed cue balanced about six inches more forward than my cue.

6 inches?? That's hard to believe. If the SS came in at 19" that would mean a 13" bp on the wood to wood. I've never seen anything that low. Your cue would be so butt weighted it's ridiculous. Hell even 20/14 or 21/15 is an extreme on both ends, but the 15 is still the more extreme.

6 inches forward!! sorry mark, no way. even if your cues were(and probably are) different. the reason is there's just TOO MUCH butt weight to overcome.

i just put 1oz AT THE VERY TIP of my cue and the balance moved only 2" forward. btw,,,,5 quarters = 1oz.
