Ball Breakers Last Night

OK, i watched the episode last nite, And the two girls Lisa, and Laurie seems to play pretty decent along with the blonde guy.

I also loved when Laurie snapped the 9ball lol, that was great.

I do say some of the rules and games are weird, but oh well. I did think the ball in hand after every miss was kinda odd, kinda like mixing 9ball and 7ball.

But yea it would be kewl to have a Pro night, with normal 9ball rules. And just let them play.

Jam,

This is part of the problem with casting directors who don't know anyting about pool (or action for that matter). I haven't watched the show, but you can bet that if I heard that Keith McCready was on there with 20k to throw around, (along with some others like Lil John and Tony Watson), I assure you that I would be watching, along with an audience which would be 10 or 20 times larger than it is now.

Every player who knows anything about the game would watch. Even professional level players. And for anyone who is not an avid player, the entertainment value would be such that if they tuned in one time, they would tune in every week arter that to see what was going on.

I don't know that the audience would be 10-20 times what it is now. My friends who don't play pool really like the show. I have to admit that it has some appeal. And whatever else you can say about it, they are playing for real cash under some pretty shrking conditions. How many of us would make some of the outs these people are making for tht money? I'll tell you that even though I wish I could play any of them for the money - I don't think that I really have any better chance of winning any single game than anyone I have seen on the show.

The appeal of the show is seeing these "normal" people playing for high stakes and barking at each other. I don't think pros would help UNLESS the winning amateur earned the right to challenge the pro for more money.
