Stretch your left hand for cuts to the right or your right hand for cuts to the left. Practice stretching so that the pinky and thumb form a right angle and the other three fingers fall on the other angles. After stretching, the fingers should all converge at a single point towards the base of the hand directly below the pinky and directly across from the thumb. The lines on the image are accurate angles to be measured from the pinky line to each of the other fingers. The superimposed image of the hand is not perfect, only for illustration.

Also, a slight rotation of the hand so that the middle finger is pointing forward rather than the pinky allows you to see the 60 degree angle of a 1/8 ball hit. It is the angle from the middle finger to the thumb.
