Ball hop problem on 10' snooker table

I had seen that another person was having this problem, without any helpful input. I have a new Olhausen 10' snooker table, and have this same problem. I suspect that ball size could be contributing, and as well the cloth on the rails has stretched to the poin that I wonder if that may be part of the problem. I chose tournament cloth and question if that also may be part of the problem as well The Olhausen website shows a web partner snooker cloth provider. I laid out some serious "scratch" for this otherwise true rolling, hyper active cushioned table, yet it doesn't play like older Brunswicks in halls I have spent time at.

The differences between American and International sooker table specifications are significant regarding rail height,"D" diameter, balls size as well as the rules.

I wonder if this table was built to consistent standards.

Sure hope that there are constructive comments/solutions out here.

Would like to connect w/ a mechanic experienced in this issue and these tables. The company I purchased this table through, nor Olhausen itself seem to have a lot of experince w/ snooker.

I am near the point of wishing I'd picked up the sweet old Brunswick snook table from Pockets when it was available.

Any body know where to pick up the long bridge ?

I'd look to the balls personally more so than the cloth. Aramith 2+1/16th " are the dogs whatsits.

As for a rest, I kid you not this is the only one to ever buy.

I dropped lucky on one off ebay for £15 or so, the short necked one with an ash shaft and a telescopic screw in extension to it. brilliant it is.

If they cant fix you up with the same try www.craftsmancues.com as the one i had off ebay was a one off, doubt you'll see another on there for a long long time.

Hop prob

Thanks for the input. Thinking I will try to find undersized balls.

If anyone's up through Yavapai County give me a shout out and come play.

I believe it can be a number of things, such as either a failing rubberized rails, low density balls (such as the one I mistakenly purchased ~ 1-7/8"), stretched worn out cloth or uneven slate surface. Sorry to infuse but Americans are generally dumbfounded about snooker; heck most do not even know what snooker is.
