When i practice pocketing balls what i do is set up objectballs along the path to the pocket but space them apart just so that the objectball i am pocketing has enough room to the pocket the closer the objectballs the more precise i have to be with my aiming. This not only makes a good drill but helps with splitting the pockets and having objects in your line of fire to the pocket cause sometimes having balls near the pocket you are aiming at with a long cut or something the balls near the pocket can throw off your aiming and get in your eyes, but there is a default to this cause i practice splitting the pockets and when i play matches i am not satisfied if the balls don't split the pockets i dont' know why just to have that feel that i am dead on but sometimes the shot calls to cheat the pockets and i have some trouble doing that cause i practice this drill all the time so what i included is not only have the balls spaced to the center of the pockets but to cheat them also like placing a ball in the path just so that the objectball has just enough room to pocket it. Just wanted to share this drill with you guys if you haven't seen or done this already LOL, plus my hero Niels is a drilling fool so i practice alot of drills.
