Bank Pool Rule Question

I know all banks have to be clean, no caroms, billiards, and the cue ball has to hit the target object ball first.

While playing last night, a shot similar to this left me a bit confused on the rules, though.

START(

If the cue is drawn back after hitting the 5, clearing the 1 from the pocket, then the 5 banks back down into the clear pocket, is it legal?

I see no reason why not.

If the 5 hit the 1 before going in it would be an illegal shot, as you know. But your shot seems legal to me.

Wally~~wishes he could make that shot :D

Completely legal.......as long as the 5 does not contact any other ball after cb hits it...........an excellent shot by the way, did you make it?
peace

I missed the bank, but cleared the pocket. Almost sold out when the 1 was spotted, but luckily my opponent is at my level of play, so he missed, haha.
