OK folks, I want a Starkey cue (with the wood pin), BADLY!!!. So, here is my bar beater / league setup.
I WILL ALSO CONSIDER TRADES FOR A STARKEY!!
I am trying to describe the condition as accurate as possible, and even the slightest roll, and I am being very particular about it. I will refund within TWO days post receipt. This is a win-win sale, and I do not want to leave a buyer out in the cold if they aren't happy with the deal.
Butt:
I had requested Scott Gracio piece together some extra woods for a bar beater for league nights. So, he supplied me a tiger maple forearm and butt, with a yellow heart handle, 3/8-10 pin. Over the years of travel, a slight, slight, credit card amount of light under the forearm roll developed. It doesn't affect play, for me at least. I say bar beater because it has the typical bumps and bruises from letting other folks use it, people knocking it over, throwing balls on the table after a game and hitting the butt. It was cheap, so I didn't care.
Shafts
one of them is the original from Scott, which is good shaft wood. 3/4" ferrule, emerald tip. 12.60mm last I measured it. I had it refinished by Steve Klapp, who did an awesome job. It too developed a slight roll (2 business cards).
Shaft #2
Old growth shaft from Steve Klapp, also at 12.60mm, with an APUS tip from prather and the ferrule is also from prather. The shaft plays super stiff, as all of his other shafts. It would do well with a cleaning, and it is a steal. The catch, it also has a roll (2 business cards). Tip doesn't leave the table, and it is discounted due to this occurrence. it too rolls straight when on the butt.
Specs
Butt is around 15oz
Shaft 1 is around 3.5oz
Shaft 2 is about 4, possible heavier
I DO NOT HAVE CALIPERS OR A SCALE, so I can't help it if numbers are off.
In addition, there is a sterling butterfly soft case in the deal. its a 2x4, three pocket, with the lower having a jump handle side pocket. barely used.
All of this for $300 (OBO), shipped (paypal as gift or add 4%). I want to sell this is a package to save on shipping separately. If I have to "part it out", I will have to readjust prices, which I don't want to do!! Click on the pics and get higher resolution to help make up your mind.
Please email me at javarod@gmail.com for questions, or PM me and I will respond as soon as I can. My itrader isn't necessarily up date, as I have had a number of transactions without even asking for feedback (all more than positive). I have tried to illustrate each issue in either verbiage or image, but may have forgotten some (for the really picky folks). This isn't a "custom", its a pure league shooter setup, for cheap.
If you want more pictures, or close up shots, a short video clip of the cue rolling on a table, or whatever no matter how detailed, I will take more photos with a digital camera at request, and in my second post below.. Please do not hesitate to ask questions. included are the pictures showing the business card amount of roll. it is small but it is there
Thanks, and have a nice day!
