Ok. So today in between Expo days we go to a family fund raiser for ALS.
I'm cool with a few people playing on the 7' bb. After a "few" drinks my wife starts to take interest.
Now, she probably knows more about the pro scene etc than any dude in that place.
She is sitting right up next to the table. Eventually gets money up. She starts playing.
Honestly pretty close to these bozos. She plays once in a while on our Diamond 9'.
So I finally come over and it comes to her and I playing doubles.
I run 4 balls and then miscue horribly. (trying a high inside follow shot)

Question..... with NO chalk and a cue that rattles in the center when you bounce it on the floor........Should I just be playing center ball?
I think I know the answer.
So we eventually lose. Soon after we leave. My wife is all upset (mostly from drinking ...... and blaming herself)
And I really don't gaf cuz I know it was all in fun. No $ lost and really who cares?? She slept the whole way home.
Back to the Expo in the AM!!! ( We were the last ones to leave the benefit!!)................at 40+

Hey, I know what you mean. It used to take a few drinks for my wife to start up, too.
As for the pool play, I haven't a clue.

Yes, of course. Without chalk trying to put much of any spin on the ball is likely to result in a miscue. Stick to center ball when so hampered.

I thought the joke was excellent. As for the question, center ball is the only way to play without chalk. You can sneak off center occasionally, but you'll get a miscue if you try to do too much.

Center ball is all you can do. Beyond that, you don't really play with such non players. What is the point, to show off. Let them play their game and have fun. How many times are you in a place and there is a table with people who can't play playing. What is the point of going over there and beating them?

Yeah, it was a (bad, I guess) joke. :)

Alright, youse guys, I'll do all the joke telling around here.
Such as: "My wife was such a bad cook (how bad was she?) that once I accidentally left a package of dental floss on the kitchen counter and the cockroaches started hanging themselves with it." :)
