I have an International Billiards Barbox... over sized cueball..

is the rail height of an oversize table different that that of a normal cueball table?? mine measure 1 9/16" 1/8" off from what most recommend a valley table to be.. ( I compete mostly on valleys)

I am currently using a set of valley balls equal size cueball..

is there a significant difference here.. or am I just fooling myself...

Convention is that cushion nose height should be at 64% of ball diameter. With that said, when playing with a 2.375" cueball and 2.250" object balls the question becomes which nose height to go with. The 1.440" (1 7/16") standard nose height is a little too low for a 2.375 cue and it quite likely will hop or even jump. On the other hand, a nose height set at 1.520" for the 2 3/8" cue will cause the table to play much slower but keep the cue from hopping as much. If its a home table, fit it with rails that give you the commonly accepted 1 7/16" nose height and open the table up so you can use a regular 2 1/4" cue ball.
