I found these somewhere on the net a long time ago. I did modify them a little to give to a friend.
Here are 10 in no real order:
1) In the long run skill will always beat luck and in a short race the better player does not always win.
2) No matter how much you try, there is no explaining the luck factor in pool. So don't waste you're time on this.
3) No matter what anyone says, alcohol or drugs will only enhance a players game in his own head.
4) It is much easier to win with a pocket full of cash than with an empty one.
5) When you are most confident is when you are the weakest.
6) Never under estimate the other player. All it takes is a little of that luck factor and a couple good shots to sit you down.
7) Pool is played on a table with a stick, not with you're mouth and words.
8) Nobody wants to hear about you're past winnings or losses, so shut up and play pool.
9) $5,000 worth of cue doesn't equal $1 worth of knowledge.
10) It takes a lot less energy to say nothing than it does to whine and complain. Use this energy to plan you're next move at the table.
