I went to the last event, and this was my experience

Hi all,

I just wanted to drop in a little report about the Bay State Invitational Tournament this past Sunday.

My wife and I went, and got there around 11 AM; Gary introduced himself and asked if I was a player . I told no just a spectator (I barley know how to hold a cue, but have nice equipment still the same ). The matches were quick (we stayed till around 5 PM), no one was fighting about the rack, and everyone looked good (professionaly dressed), and it seemed to be a fun time for the players.

I think it was a well run event, and found Gary to be very easy to talk with .

I don't know why the tournaments get such negative flack on the board but I think it's great when anyone steps up and runs events. Also the pay outs are pretty high I think, like $765, $380, $130, and $100 (free entry into the next event with only 16 players that's $1500 ($100 a player with the free entry from the last event), and he is paying out like $1375, so I think he is doing good by the player as well with only around $125 left for green fees and Gary. So I think he is doing good by the players .

I think some of the negative people should just go and watch. Then at least you can make an honest judgement about the event. I hope it grows so that it will be around when I am good enough to compete .
