Ladies & Gentlemen....All Players who are fed up with the garbage of no dress codes....changing rules....and just plain No Organization:mad: ...Go to the linkwww.baystateinvitational.com and fill out your application....Looks like a July start up....We may start small....but we will be a force to recon with.. This is the tour that a lot of you have been waiting for.........We are already getting some "Names" signed up from around the country:) ....Go to the site and get your application for your Tour Card in..... You will not be sorry. Stay tuned into the web site to see the location and the schedule. Both will be posted this week on the web site.....YOU MUST BE INVITED TO PLAY ON THIS TOUR.....:)

i have a couple of questions i hope you won't mind answering.
Are there going to be greens fees taken from every entry? if so how much will be taken? And who will it go to?
what % of the field will be paid per event?
How much added money will there be?
Will the added money (if there is any) be guaranteed and by whom?
Do you think this tour will hurt both the Joss Tour and the New England A/B tour?
If you are having a tournament and a player is on your invite list and plays in another tournament will he be punished in anyway?
Do you actually think that there is enough room in the New England area to support 3 tours?
I am not asking these questions to antagonize anyone. I think that they are all legitimate questions.
Just 1 more question. Will marty herman be allowed to play?
I would seriously add my name to this list of people to fill out you application if i knew some of these questions. So please don't take my asking all these questions on a public forum as any type of harrassement. I feel that by answering these questions on here it just may save alot of people phone calls to you. there fore not tying you up on the phone. So please answer my questions if you will.......................mike

Dear Massachussetts Politician: Gee...you sound just like a certain Democratic Politician in New England...Before I answer your very valid questions....I have a few for you....I am assuming you are a "Player"....Maybe I am assuming TOO much.....When you play in these events you mentioned .....Do you abide by their rules of play and do you conform to their dress code..????? Or are you one of the multitude that shows up ready to play for Thousands...like you were going to the beach..???? Which one are you.... Reading your message ...you sound like quite the little "Match Lighter".....What Fire>????? You know ...The Board of Directors on this tour do not have as many concerns as you..... I would venture to say I believe I know Mr.Herman better than most....Will HE be allowed to play..????Good Question..... At this time.... The Question really is "Would You Be Welcome on this Tour" No offense Mike.....But you sound like the reason this game has stayed in the Gutter for Decades.... Just for your added info...I have "World Champions" registered....I find it interesting they did not have any of your concerns ......Looking foward to your response........Respectfully....Gary
P.S. Mike maybe you should read your little "Quip" at the end of all your comments..You know..... the one with the funny little faces. Thank you again for your imput....Gary

Hello Gary,

I just wanted to say I think it's great that you are starting a tour. If it competes with the other two tours so be it. It's better for players to have options, other than only have one tournament they can go to.

I wish you and the tour the very best...

Good Luck Sir...

Pete

well Gary, with all due respect i got the answers i figured you would give me. NONE. And when i go and play in any tour event i always dress appropriately. Collars on my shirts dress slacks and dress shoes. I never play in any tournament dressed like i am heading for the beach. And yes you may be assuming to much. Am i a player..Hmmmm let me think. I am a person that loves to play the game. you say that it people like me are the reason pool has stayed in the gutter all these years. why because i ask questions. all i did was ask a couple of legitimate questions and you make attacks like that on my character. how dare you sir. You make the remark,,Would you be welcome on this tour. I guess we both now know the answer to that question sir. You more or less answered that question yourself. Why did you answer like that. Did my questions offend you. Or is it that you just don't like people to question your business practices. All you had to say sir is that those items in the questions i asked are being worked out and not yet set. Instead you make defensive remarks. That sir tells me what type of person you are..........good day and good luck with your tour. May you be a successful promoter in this endeavor...OH and by the way... YES i am a DEMOCRAT....................mike

Just a quick word to "Pete"....Thank you very much for taking the time to write your views...I respect them very much.......Thanks again....

To Mike Cueball1950....You are more than welcome to submit your application at any time. If you knew I would not give you the answers ....Than why did you ask them.....Need any Matches Mike..???? Just to set the record straight and put your mind at ease....I have been in this business for 36 years, and have run and directed many events....I am THE ONLY PERSON I have ever found to give back 100% of the entries....along with NO table time.....You see ...you do not know the kind of person I am......Not a Clue.........Gary

well Gary... this will be my last post on this subject ever. I did not know the answers that is why i asked the questions. I just figured I would ask them and see if you replied. As for your implication that i am trying to start a flame war by asking these questions, which i still feel are legitimate ones, is absurd. Anyone who knows me can verify that i never start flame wars. And only get defensive when someone makes the 1st attack like you did in your response. and alot of people will also tell you sir that although i am not a "PRO" like yourself i am the type of person with the type of character you would like to know. But believe me, that will never happen. You have to stop being so defensive. Oh, and yes i have seen you play at TJ LaFlamme's room in Maine. Just took awhile to recognize you. Sir, have a good day and like i said before, I hope your tour is a huge success and everybody has a great time with it.....................mike

is it just me??

Or does this Gary guy promoting this new tour sound like a total jerk. He comes on here trying to promote this new tour, but instead of answering simple questions, he instead talks down on the people who ask them. I am not a high caliber player. I am just a true fan of the sport. I refrained from saying anything bad on here at first, but after reading your replys I had to add my 2 cents. In the other post you talk about yourself in the 3rd person, and chime in that you have done so so so so much for pool around the country. I am a nobody in the pool world, so im not saying I know it all. I am not a good player. High C player if even that. But I have to say I will not even consider playing or supporting this new tour. In person you come off like a jerk, as well as on the computer. Go dress snazzy and have fun with your $100 application fees. Seems to me your just trying to jump on the IPT bandwagon buddy. Maybe im wrong, but seems like that to me. And BTW, if you know so much about running pool halls, why did your Leather Pocket Hall close it's doors a few years ago? Thats right because it was a dump and the owner was a jerk. Just my opinion.

Hey Guys,,,,,,Likewise for me....This will be my last post on this subject.....This was a little fun...you know bantering with one another....All in good fun....Gee I could not help but notice .....Neither one of you two guys( the one and only, boy does that say it all,...and Cueball 1950) responded to the 100% payback ...and no table time issue...Hey Mike ......I have never hit a ball in TJ's room, never played there....and to "The One and Only" I closed the room after 36 years, and 18 billiard rooms, after dealing with the Pool Hall Mentality......Gentlemen,, thanks for the opportunity to banter...have a good day.....hope you sign up for the B.S.I......Would'nt that be fun.........G

Is there a reason you won't answer his questions Gary? You come across pretty arrogant if you ask me and with an attitude like this why would anyone her want to play on YOUR tour? Legitimate questions were asked , right?
The 100% payback and no green fees are a great start and you've got my interest, can you keep it?

George

nineball - I do not have a specific affiliation to any of the New England tours (I play as many events as I can no matter who runs them) and have asked questions in the previous thread about your tour with the response of call us basically. I am a firm supporter of any pool tours, but it appears that the information everyone is asking for is not forthcoming, which makes me question why. If you require a phone call, I will call, but it would be most helpful to learn of these answers. Also, the initial thread on the tour said as long as you abide by the rules, etc. of the tour, you could play...now this thread says invitational. I am a female nine-ball player and would like to participate, however, will not fill in an application or send dues to a tour I know nothing about. I am sure you can understand this concern. So, if you wouldn't mind, information would be great.

Thanks in advance.

9balllvr...Thank you for your interest and inquiry....This tour is in its infancy stage...We have a Location...Beautiful million dollar room...Connelly Ultimate tables ...Simonis cloth... The schedule is going to be posted no later than Friday for the first quarter...3 events....This IS an Invitational Tour....That is why the application...This does not bind you to anything....Our board goes over all the apps...and if approved...you are then contacted to send in your dues for a Tour Card.($50)...(Please do not ask me where that money is going).....I personnaly would love to have as many women competing as possible...That would be great.....As far as all the other "stuff" in the previous threads....Added money...too soon to tell .....Good possibility though....Greens fees ???? I do not know where you play....but here it costs money....Yes there will be greens fees ..That is clearly stated on the sight....entrance fees will cover any of these fees...of course.........As far as guarantees....There is no guarantee I will be alive tomorrow..Ha Ha Ha Ha ....At this time ...I can tell you we are getting responses from all over the country....with some "Players"...Some Champions ...and some, just fans of the game....This will be a tour run with Integrity...and Credibilty....something I have not seen on any tour I have played on with the exception...of the I.P.T. Just for one instance....notice The winner Break and the WINNER RACKS...that eliminates all the "crap" I am sure you have encountered in the past ...."Hey, you gave me a bad rack"....Or the guy standing there as you are on a run of 4 break and runs....so he can't get the balls to freeze....so to break your rythmn he needs to rack them 12 times...Get the picture.... Not on this tour.....You and anyone else that competes...will be treated like a pro....wether you are one or not....I do not care if you are a C player...you play buy the rules and look like a pro you will have a ball....No Pool Hall junk. If you would like ...you should send in your app....in a few days you get a notice to forward your Card dues... There will be NO Calcutta....No Cash payments....This is a Pro Tour...and a business..... You win money.... you get a check on the spot.....There will be a cut off date for entrance into any event....As the site says ...No fees of any kind will be accepted at the door.....The player will be entered ...paid for ....Just put your tool together and Play....I hope this gives you a little more insight into what we are doing......Everyone that KNOWS me can not wait to see this start...and as for me ....I wish we started yesterday....Bottom line.... we are getting an excellent response from all over ....so come join the party....I can assure you you will love it............Gary

something I thought of on my way home - if both men and women play in this "pro" tour, is it handicapped or every man (or woman) for themselves? what are the incentives for those players that are not champions but aspire to be other than playing with stronger players......

btw, thanks for the response - I understand that when a tour is initiated or in its earlier stages there are things that have to be ironed out, but the foundation must be strong to acquire players

as far as the IPT, unfortunately, I have yet to see much from the IPT - I am all for the possibilities, but at this stage, I would say it is more of an organization, not a tour - when they begin the events on a regular basis, then we will see the merits - I am one of the "on the fence post" folks at this point - I am definitely a results oriented gal and want to see movement.

Since I am in Connecticut, I will most definitely keep an eye out on your tour and hope that it develops although I still have this sense that something is missing....we, as players, benefit as does the sport.....so, I am sure our paths will cross at some point.

Just a quick note to "George"...did not see your thread....Sorry....Please check out my reply to 9balllvr above.....just so there is no mis-understanding....I said I have run many events in the past with 100% payback and no table time.....That was in MY billiard room....I do not own this facility that will be hosting these events .....Yes, the greens fees you asked about are always included in the entrance. I would like to "Gaurantee" this.....when this gets off the ground....It will be the only thing like it....Maybe the new I.P.T. can top it ....but then again...I do not have his money......This game deserves a QUALITY Tour..... I am going to give it one H--- of a shot to see that happen. I have played on many Tours and I have competed in many events .....only to see the rules change halfway through the event.....NO Dress Codes guys in Flip Flops...and shorts...and T-Shirts.......and Players that do not know what "Cue Ball Fouls" mean..... To do this right George....You must have a strong Attitude.....This is not an ice cream parlour These are Pool Players...I hope you do not mis- understand me. we would love to have you. One thing I have learned in my 36 years is this....You can not let pool players control or run anything... They need to PLAY POOL...and let business men run the tours......My board is made up of Business men first and pool players second.........That is why the old mens pro tours failed....Everyone with a stick wanted to run the show...It clearly did not work....Non existant Mens Pro tours....P.B.T. P.P.P.A M.P.B.T. Do you know that when the owner of the IPT addressed the "Players" I heard they all thought he was nuts.....8 ball.....Old Slow Cloth.....and so on ....Well He is not nuts..... You will see that on T.V. starting in June.....Ask Mike Sigel if he likes the IPT....They are all coming out of RETIREMENT....to play 8 ball on Slow Cloth.....Come join the party.....Gary

Just a quickie....to 9balllvr....Thanks for the imput.......If this flies.....I will do a ladies tour.....First things first though....Lets get this one off the ground.....One of the strongest players I have ever seen is Jean Balukas....She can Play with any of the men......Do you know of Mss Balukas...have you ever seen her play.....She can Play............Gary

unfortunately, i came along a little too late to witness Jean play pool, but have heard wonderful things about her game - i have no problems playing with men, in fact, prefer it - the aggressive game suits me just fine - we currently have two women's regional tours in this area, but who knows by then....as always, i would promote any that would help the women (as well as myself) achieve pool goals......best of luck.

pballlvr...someone posted on here somewhere that jean plays in her monthly thursday night tournament. go watch her play. she is very much approachable....and such a pretty smile. you might also see gerda Hofstatter there as well.............................mike

i would most definitely like to see that if anyone here where that might be - it would be worth the drive to play in the event. thanks mike.

she owns her fathers old room in NYC. and she is there all the time. i will check around and see what i can find out for you.................mike
